Women's Filmmaking in Latin America enables students to explore a range of fiction and documentary films made by women directors in the region since 2000. It introduces students to the thematic concerns that unite these films and the cinematic techniques they deploy. The module encompasses films from countries including (but not limited to): Argentina, Brazil and Chile, and it enables students to develop an appreciation of the socio-political and historical events in which the films are rooted.
