Understanding how the medium of film constructs a narrative from the position of a filmmaker rather than as a film viewer is essential to developing the skills and knowledge to support storytelling in film. Through the topics of light, sound and image, each aspect of narration in film is taught and this supports the development of production skills, which can then be developed across the three years of the Film Studies degree programme.
