This module is designed to help students become more critical in their reading and writing by improving their critical thinking process. Critical thinking is a cross disciplinary skill useful in not only in the reading of academic texts but also in writing academic essays and reports. It is crucial to develop this skill as most assessed work at university expects students to display a certain degree of criticality in their writing. We help you to develop these skills by exploring academic texts to determine how arguments are constructed in essays in line with the epistemological conventions of a given discipline.
