Browse Hierarchy EAL4680: English Pronunciation Skills

This 5-week module is designed to help students develop their accuracy in the pronunciation of English. The module explores the varieties of English pronunciation that exist in our increasingly globalised world, including standard English, and provides students with extensive opportunities to practise listening and speaking. Throughout the module, you will examine issues of fluency, clarity and appropriacy and analyse the relationship between intonation and meaning. You will be offered regular formative feedback from the class tutor and from peers.
