Contextualizing "digital media" within a longer history of modern media forms, we will study important theoretical and cultural texts within media studies, and explore key questions: what are media, and how do we study them? What distinguishes digital media from other media forms? What does the shift to digital media mean for us? And crucially, what does the future of media hold?
