Browse Hierarchy SPC5003: Machine Learning
Machine learning describes the ability of computers to adapt and learn by analysing data, without being explicitly programmed to do so. This module reviews simpler machine learning algorithms, before introducing the field of "deep learning", in which the algorithms involve multi-layered structures known as neural networks. Students will learn about different types of neural network, also how to practically implement and train them using cutting-edge software packages in Python. Example applications will be discussed in detail.
