Browse Hierarchy SNU205: Techniques in Biomedical Sciences
This module is focused on introducing students to a range of contemporary techniques used in biomedical research and routine analytical laboratories. A grounding in the principles behind these techniques will permit students to use these techniques or develop them appropriately in their future medical and/or research careers but also to understand the techniques behind experimental discoveries that are presented in other scientific modules on the JP. Students will develop their ability to handle information, to conduct independent study and to extract information from the scientific literature. The module will cover a range of cellular and molecular techniques, both qualitative and quantitative assays.
