The QMUL-Nanchang Joint Programme Summer Module is designed to take students' English and study skills levels to beyond the levels required to simply pass their third year JP assessments, and to enhance their ability to gain the highest marks.The module consists of language skills, university study skills, Personal Development Planning and enhancement of attributes such as learner autonomy and independent study and research.To prepare students for their third year project, students will be introduced to the concept of a third year research project, online resources (particularly the library and journals), and the format of the project report. The choice of research project will have been finalized in Nanchang at the end of year 2 and students will receive presentations and research talks by project supervisors.The students will then be introduced to reading lists, so they can commence their review of the background literature and techniques to be utilised, in the rest of the summer between years 2 and 3.
