This module will focus on developing the key skills required to conduct interdisciplinary research in the mental health sciences. You will learn about the different genetic, social, cognitive, behavioural and neuroscientific approaches to mental health research, how to read and critically evaluate the literature and how to translate clinical findings to basic science questions. A key outcome of this module is to develop a MSc project proposal focusing on an aspect of psychiatric disorders or psychological wellbeing that can be investigated from a social, cognitive, behavioural, neuroscientific, or genetic perspective.
