This module examines the changing political values and political participation patterns of democratic citizens. It equips students with the tools and critical skills to assess evidence for and against competing theories of political behaviour and social change, including the rise of protest movements, and introduces students to the basics of empirical political research, survey data analysis, and the explanation of social scientific phenomena to evaluate published research.
