While it is perfectly possible to study the EU separately from European politics, the two are now so bound up with each other that it makes sense to study them together. This module will combine an introduction to European integration with an introduction to the government and politics of its member states. As such, it addresses a range of key contemporary debates, allowing students to gain critical insights into how Europe is run and politics is contested today.
