Browse Hierarchy MTH5205: Professional Skills for Mathematicians
The module aims to support students on their education and career journey by highlighting the various opportunities available, including internships, job hunting strategies, extra-curricular activities. All students will meet with their Academic Advisors and the Careers Team to discuss career plans, gathering evidence for a CV, cover letter writing, Developing and Recognising Graduate Attributes; Mathematical literacy and plagiarism. The overall theme of this module is discovery and getting prepared for their next steps as Finalists. Students are required to engage with a wide-ranging set of compulsory and optional activities designed to actively engage students in the development of desirable transferable skills.
