"This module is designed to enable students to understand key basic scientific concepts and principles that underpin clinical medical and dental practice (such as the the physics used by the ear, eye and skeleton). The teaching will be equally divided into the teaching of physics related to clinical practice ( including X-rays, ultrasound, MRI and PET), the integration of the other science components as applied clinical practice (introducing pathophysiology) and a maths component revising the principles from Mathematics 1 and applying these skills to clinical scenarios (i.e drug calculations)."
