Students will learn about the law in the UK on equality and anti-discrimination. They will be introduced to the legal rules through case studies in particular topical areas such as the legal profession, the judiciary, the legislature, education and gender segregation in society. Through these case studies the operation of the law in practice will be scrutinised and evaluated. The module will be assessed through research proposals, presentations of their chosen topic and a research essay of 4,000 words.
