This module develops an integrated understanding of software systems analysis, design, and evaluation, focusing on how structured development, modelling, architecture, and quality assurance contribute to reliable and scalable software products. Students learn to analyse requirements, design systems using UML, and apply systematic approaches to testing, observability, and performance evaluation. Emphasis is placed on creating and interpreting software artefacts-such as models, test cases, and monitoring outputs-to inform design and improvement, while engaging with professional standards and evidence-based practices in software engineering.
