How can we use the past to shape the future? As a so-called culture war rages, which stories are being told about London, and by whom? This module offers you the unique opportunity to not only study the pasts, places and politics of London, but actively shape its futures. Collaborating with students and experts from multiple disciplines on placement projects, you will apply the tools you have developed through your degrees to solve real challenges facing London and its communities. After receiving training in vital transferable skills, you will be placed with a professional partner on a project that meets your own interests. From museums to community groups, from businesses to charitable organizations, the placement projects reflect both the diverse challenges facing London and the exciting career paths open to you. This module will boost your employability while allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to society. N.B. This module is assessed by an individual Reflective Report. The group project is not assessed.
