This module equips students with the study skills needed to successfully start studying for a degree. It is built around regular small-group tutorials across the first semester at university that introduce students to both key disciplinary debates and important study skills as they transition into a new learning environment. These key skills include: reading, note-taking and referencing, essay writing, recognising and responding to feedback, and giving effective presentations. Learning on this module is further supported by local fieldwork activities.
