It examines the investment decisions of households and firms, and studies the behaviour of the financial markets in which these decisions are made. Topics to be covered include: stock valuation, the relationship between risk and return, basic bond analysis, risk aversion, portfolio choice, the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), arbitrage pricing theory, and empirical evidence on security returns.
