This module is the first in a sequence of three modules intended to provide students with a thorough introduction to microeconomic theory. This module will cover: introduction to microeconomic modelling; producer theory: technology and costs, competitive supply, monopoly supply; consumer theory: the budget set, preferences and utility, competitive demand, price and income effects, and intertemporal choice.
