This 10-week module is designed to help students write compelling arguments. You will learn to unpack the components of an academic argument and practise assessing claims and counterclaims in different disciplines. You will learn to build a strong line of reasoning and project your authorial voice with confidence. You will study how to interrogate cultural notions of knowledge construction, originality and plagiarism, while developing citation skills in line with the norms and expectations prevalent in UK higher education.
