This module covers the most important pieces of EU legislation applicable to capital markets. These include the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive and Regulation (MiFID and MiFIR), the Transparency Directive and the UCITS and AIFM Directives, which discipline collective investment funds and alternative investment funds managers. Particular attention will be given to the study of market venues as well as the European and International institutional framework governing their supervision.
