This module is designed to enable you to apply your academic knowledge to a real-life project whilst developing your professional skills, CV and networks. You will work in multidisciplinary teams on a mini consultancy project for a business or charity who act as your client. All projects include elements of research, analysis and recommendation. After working on the project for 5 weeks teams present their findings directly to the client in the form of a short report and presentation. The module will start with pre-project training which focuses on consultancy, project management and professional skills, followed by a meeting with your client at their offices. During the following 5 weeks your team will undertake the project and receive project coaching from Careers & Enterprise staff, after which you will present your findings and recommendations to your client at their offices. The final weeks of the module will include post-project support to ensure that you can apply this experience to future applications and interviews.
