This module focusses on teaching data analysis using the statistical programming language R, through a mix of theory and practice, often involving hands on analysis of real experimental data sets. The module covers the basics of using R such as drawing publication-standard graphs, bioinformatic analysis, experimental design and exploratory data analysis. In addition, the module will explore the fundamentals of statistical testing, including t-tests and chi-square tests, ANOVA and Regression, and fitting and interpreting general linear models.
