      Book  A very influential critique of Hollywood during the 70s and 80s, featuring the incredibly important essay 'The American Nightmare' that you will find very useful when thinking about representation of teens in horror and repression, otherness etc.. Be careful with this one as you might disagree with Wood's ideas! You can use him as a starting point for your own analyses. He has some strange notions at times, but his writing is always compelling.
